What it is

A research synthesis is a structured document that answers a specific question from the literature. It is not a content brief, and it is not an SEO article. It is a defensible, sourced, executive-readable summary of what the research actually says, written so that a clinician, founder, or program lead can act on it.

The studio's work is built on three commitments: every claim has a citation; every citation is verified; every deliverable is designed and produced to the same standard as the work it summarizes.

How it works

01

Inquiry.

Submit a short intake describing the topic, audience, and scope preference. BC Douglas reads every inquiry within two business days.
02

Proposal.

A brief proposal follows the inquiry, naming the tier, scope, references plan, and timeline. Payment terms are half on signing for Synthesis and White paper; full on signing for Brief.
03

Delivery.

The deliverable is sent as a final PDF (with source .docx on request) by the agreed date. Two rounds of revisions are included.

FAQ

Will you sign an NDA?
Yes. Standard mutual NDAs can be reviewed and signed before scoping.
Do you use AI to write the deliverables?
AI assists with literature search and structural drafting. All prose is written, edited, and verified by hand. The studio does not ship AI-generated content as final deliverables.
What citation style do you use?
APA 7th edition by default. Vancouver, AMA, or other styles available on request.
Can you cite a specific list of sources I provide?
Yes. Clients may provide a starting bibliography; the studio will incorporate and supplement as needed.
Do you handle topics outside health and life sciences?
The studio's primary domain is health, life sciences, and related policy. Other topics considered on a case-by-case basis.
What happens if I'm not satisfied with the deliverable?
Two rounds of revisions are included. The studio aims for revisions to be small and editorial rather than substantive; clear intake and proposal scoping is intended to make substantive revisions unnecessary.
